Doshin the Giant is a new type of strategy game, designed by Nintendo exclusively for the Nintendo Gamecube, and suitable for all ages. Players control Doshin the Giant himself, moving large objects and raising and lowering the land to help the inhabitants of a large tropical island build houses, monuments and their community.

A friendly voiceover accompanies players throughout the game, offering help and advice as they enjoy the uniquely leisurely pace of the strategy play. Although the game is divided into 'days', there is no time limit and no compulsory goal. Players can aim to nurture multiple communities and 'collect' the 16 different monuments, or simply explore, experiment and enjoy the beautiful sights of the island.
